RARITAN TWP., NJ - Police here recently released details on a series of unrelated arrests.
Michael C. Wipperman, 25, of Flemington, was arrested by Patrol Officer Adam Swiatek and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana around 6 p.m. Oct. 13. Police said they were dispatched to the area of the pool in the Sun Ridge development on a report of a man smoking a controlled dangerous substance, and found Wipperman near the playground by the pool.
Sgt. Robert Landolina stopped a vehicle driven by Jamal M. Ferguson, 25, of Hackettstown, around 2:15 a.m. Oct. 15 for having an expired registration, police said. Ferguson was arrested and charged with possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jeffrey S. Sabol, 52, of Flemington, was arrested around 10:55 a.m. Oct. 17 by Sgt. Christopher Vallat in the parking lot of the swimming pool at Sun Ridge. He was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Patrol Officer Dustin Pflug was dispatched to the area of Route 202 near Northlandz on a report of a possible intoxicated driver around 10:54 p.m. Oct. 22. He found a vehicle driven by Gregory Miller, 53, of Flemington, and saw it swerving, police said, leading Pflug to stop Miller on River Road. Miller was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
After stopping a vehicle for failing to maintain its lane of travel on Route 31 around 11:56 p.m. Oct. 25, police said Patrol Officer Anthony Moreno arrested Stefan A. Burozski, 33, of Hackettstown. Burozski was charged with driving while intoxicated.
A report of a suspicious person led Patrol Officer Alex Soh to be dispatched to a township home around 7:53 p.m. Oct. 26. Cpl. Brian Sutherland arrived on the scene first and found Robert T. Taylor, 25, of Raritan, sitting in his running vehicle. Taylor was lost and had gone to the home asking for directions, police said. He was arrested by Soh and charged with driving while intoxicated.
