RARITAN TWP., NJ – Officials are investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that happened here yesterday.
The crash involved a Toyota SUV and a semi-tractor trailer truck that collided in the northbound lanes of Route 202 around 3:15 p.m., according to a press release from Hunterdon County Acting Prosecutor Michael Williams.
The wreck caused the road to be closed for about three-and-a half hours, Williams said. The driver of the SUV was flown by State Police helicopter to a trauma center for “serious injuries,” according to the release.
The accident is being investigated by the Williams’ Fatal Analysis Collision Team and Raritan Township police. Assisting at the scene were Flemington-Raritan Heavy Rescue, Raritan Fire and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center.
The investigation is ongoing. Williams asks that anyone who witnessed or has information about the accident to contact the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office at 908-788-1129.
