READINGTON, NJ – A 46-year-old woman who police said led them on a chase across two counties was arrested around 8:25 a.m. this morning.

According to police, Readington Patrol Officer Terry Wolverton spotted the vehicle, driven by Lisa Okurowski, of Branchburg, on Route 22 near Route 523 after she had eluded police in Branchburg.

But Okurowski also evaded Woolverton, police said. She finally surrendered to Readington and Clinton Township police on Main Street in Lebanon.

Okurowski was arrested and charged with eluding and resisting arrest by flight. She was also given motor vehicle summonses charging her with speeding, failure to pull over for an emergency vehicle, reckless driving, unsafe lane change and unsafe tires.

Okurowski is awaiting a future court appearance.
