FLEMINGTON, NJ -- The Hunterdon Central boys basketball team went up against another state-ranked team Tuesday night, when Gill-St. Bernard's broke the contest open in the second quarter on its way to an 81-50 victory.

Will Soucie scored 24 points for Gill-St. Bernard's (13-3), which outscored the Red Devils, 23-10, in the second quarter to take a 40-23 halftime lead.

Matt Ciszkowski scored 13 points and Brian Johansson and Michael Zaragoza each finished with 12 points for Hunterdon Central (7-8), which lost its second straight game to a Top 20 team after falling at the buzzer to Watchung Hills last Thursday.
