BASKING RIDGE, NJ -- The Hunterdon Central girls basketball team won two out of the three games it played in the Len Sepanak Tournament at Ridge High School last weekend.

The Red Devils (2-3) defeated Westfield, 30-24, in the third-place game on Monday. Sophomore Jessica Mastriano scored 10 points and came up with three steals for Hunterdon Central, which outscored Westfield, 12-7, in the fourth quarter.

Hunterdon Central opened the tournament with a 28-18 victory over Mendham on Friday. Mastriano and Isabella Critelli each scored eight points in that game. Anna Hannson grabbed six rebounds and Sarah Carfagno made five steals in the victory.

Ridge, which has only one loss, defeated Hunterdon Central, 37-25, in the middle game of the tournament. Hunterdon Central is back in action Friday night at Watchung Hills.
