SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health Sunday reported 22,890 positive tests for the COVID-19 virus, an increase of 60 cases overnight and 710 COVID-19 deaths since March 8, 2020.

The New Jersey Department of Health on Sunday reported a total of 860,447 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state one year ago, an increase of 1,928 overnight. The death toll in New Jersey is 22,569, an increase of 18 overnight.

There have been 12,914,501 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is 142,662,937 including 3,041,808 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention Sunday morning, with 32,465,381 cases in the United States and 581,501 deaths.

The SCDOH confirmed the deaths of 207 Franklin Township residents; 94 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 103 in Bridgewater; 47 in Bernards Township; 51 in North Plainfield; 35 in Green Brook; 15 in Watchung; 22 in Raritan; 23 in Bound Brook; 22 in Warren; 21 in Manville; 16 in Somerville; 21 in Montgomery; 10 in Branchburg; 5 in Bedminster; 5 in Bernardsville; 4 in South Bound Brook; 4 in Peapack-Gladstone; 1 in Rocky Hill and 1 in Far Hills.
