SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office has identified the body of a woman found inside a multi-family residence gutted by a Jan. 7 fire as 25-year-old Litze Romero.
The positive identification was made by the New Jersey Regional Medical Examiner's Office, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
The fire occurred at the victim’s residence located at 358 Talmadge Avenue, Bound Brook.
The building is uninhabitable; other residents of the building have relocated.
Tattered bits of yellow police tape are still attached to a front porch railing and a chain link fence. A few Christmas decorations remain in the front of the house.
Romero’s cause of death is pending test results from the State Medical Examiners Office.
