FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Franklin Warriors kept the game close early on behind a gutsy pitching performance from Sohil Patel, but could not battle back and fell to Phillipsburg 7-1. 

Patel struck out five, gave up five hits, and four runs before leaving in the fourth inning with two outs. 

Warrior lead-off hitter Brian BiNicola batted in Aj Gordon in the bottom of the sixth inning for the team's lone run. He went 1-for-4 on the day.

Phillipsburg scored four runs in the fourth inning and had nine hits. The Warriors had seven hits.

Warrior Ken Millman went 3-for-3 with three singles to lead all hitters. 

Patel was the only other Warrior with multiple hits with two singles and one walk. Franklin's Hunter Casazza was hit by a pitch twice. 

The Warriors are 0-5 on the season and will be playing Piscataway on the road Wednesday.
