SOMERSET, NJ - The Franklin Warriors were out hit and still outlasted Pingry School on the road for a 6-5 victory Wednesday.
The Warriors built a four-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Pingry's seventh inning three-run rally in the seventh.
In the third Sohil Patel was walked to drive in a run, there was an error, scoring one run, and Raf Duran singled to drive in one run.
Jeff Perez earned the win for the Warriors, tossing five innings, allowing two runs, six hits, and striking out three.
Millman led the Warriors with three runs batted in. He went 1-for-4 on the day. Raf Duran was the only Warrior with more than one hit going 2 for 3 with two singles and a RBI.
The Warriors were active on the base pads and stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one.
Patel led the way with two. The Warriors played solid in the field and did not commit one error.
