BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police are reporting that the 16-year-old girl missing in Chimney Rock Park since 2 a.m. Saturday was found dead Saturday evening.

The matter is still under investigation, and more information will be released as it is available.

Bridgewater Township Police had been engaging in a search and rescue operation in the wooded area near Chimney Rock Park since Saturday afternoon, searching for Francine Wang, who had been missing since about 2 a.m. Saturday.

Various county K9 units, trained search and rescue personnel and fire personnel assisted in the search throughout the area.

On a post on their Facebook page, Bridgewater Township Police are asking for the family to have privacy at this time, and said the matter is under investigation.

Bridgewater Township Police are searching for a 16-year-old girl who walked away from her Woodfield Road home early Saturday morning.

According to police, Frances Wang was last seen around 2 a.m. Saturday, possibly wearing a blue colored jacket. She is an Asian female, 5 ft. 6 inches, and 120 pounds.

Police said she has blue dyed streaks in her hair.

Currently, there are K9 units and NJSP airship in the area searching. They are searching in the Vosseller Avenue and Washington Valley Park area.
