BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The BW NICE Somerset County Chapter is pleased to announce that Doris “Dee” Zampella, of the E A Boniakowski Agency, Inc., has been selected as this year’s Businesswoman of the Year.

Zampella will receive this special recognition during BW NICE’s 3rd annual Red Shoe Luncheon and Fashion Show that will take place Dec. 7 at the Bridgewater Manor.

Sue Squires, MyStylist and Corporate Sales at Macy’s Bridgewater, nominated Zampella for this award.

“Dee inspires me with her generosity, family values, and her limitless compassion for those less fortunate," Squires said in her nomination. "As a professional she develops, recognizes and leads her staff to maximize their individual potential. She has vision and boundless energy. She accomplishes all this quietly without seeking recognition.”

An active Somerset County business leader, Zampella currently serves as the president of the board of directors for Empower Somerset, board member for the Center School Foundation, volunteer EMT Crew Chief for Martinsville Rescue Squad, charter member of the United Way Women’s Giving Circle and as a board member for the Somerset County Business Partnership. She also serves on the volunteer staff of Operation Shoebox NJ.

In addition to her volunteer activities, Zampella is passionate about supporting Safe+Sound Somerset, The Center for Great Expectations, CASA SHAW, Visions and Pathways, Operation Shoebox NJ, Adult Day Center, Dunellen Green Brook Rotary, Community of Hope, Boys Scouts Patriots Path Council and other local organizations.

“Dee’s community involvement and leadership are truly inspiring, and we are honored to have her as our 2018 recipient,” said Diane Simovich, BW NICE Founder.

An estimated 200 local businesswomen are expected to attend this year’s Red Shoe. During this event, attendees will enjoy networking, shopping, a delicious luncheon, and a fashion show. Proceeds from the event will go to BW NICE, Inc. and the Somerset County Chapter’s charity partner, Safe+Sound Somerset, a not-for-profit agency dedicated to serving domestic violence victims and their children.

Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available, as well as tickets to this year’s event. For more information, please visit www.bwnice.org and select the Somerset County Chapter.
