FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Central Jersey College Prep Charter School's high school ranked No. 50 among public New Jersey schools in the rankings of Top New Jersey High Schools, according to rankings published last Tuesday by U.S. News and World Report.
The only public schools to rank higher in Somerset county were Hunterdon Central Regional High School and Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School, which came in as No. 47 and No. 48 in the state, respectively.
The top-ranked schools in New Jersey, according to the report, are 1-High Technology of Lincroft. 2-Dr. Ronald E. McNair of Jersey City. 3-Bergen County Technical of Teterboro. 4-Union County Magnet of Scotch Plains.
"We are proud of the students, teachers, and staff. It is an honor to be recognized in this list as a silver medal receiver, ranked #50," Central Jersey College Prep Charter School Community Outreach Coordinator Asli Cebe said. "CJCP maintains its position of being a place of pride and success. We are the only school that made it on the list in our charter zone: Franklin Township, New Brunswick, and North Brunswick."
Schools are ranked on how students perform on state tests and their preparedness for college.
CJCP currently has a 100 percent graduation rate.
