FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - If you have a child between the ages of seven to ten, and you want them to learn about edible plants the Somerset County Park Commission has got you covered.
This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. a workshop called “Container Gardening with Edible Plants" will be held at Colonial Park Fragrance & Sensory Garden, Parking Lot A, at 156 Mettlers Road in Somerset.
Colonial Park Garden staff members will lead a workshop and teach participants about edible plants and how to create an edible container garden which they can take home. All supplies will be provided.
A $15 fee and registration by June 22 is required. Act fast, because there are only 10 slots available. Registration can be done in person at the Horticulture Office at Colonial Park Gardens, Lot F, online @somersetcountyparks.org, or by calling 732-873-2459 ext. 21 or NJ Relay 711 for individuals with a hearing or speech impairment.
