NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - City and university police are looking for a group of armed men who spilled out of two cars on Dix Street early Tuesday morning, demanding items of value from two victims.

According to Rutgers University Police Chief Kenneth Cop, the victims were walking at 2 a.m. on July 31 on Dix Street, between Hamilton Street and Central Avenue.

That is when "multiple males exited two vehicles idling in the area," Cop said, with the suspects brandishing firearms and demanded items of value. After receiving property from both victims, the men returned to their vehicles, described as an older model red sedan and a newer model black SUV.
