Fanwood Ready to Rock Summer FanJam Music and Food Truck Festival on Sun, July 8

FANWOOD, NJ -- Fanwood will host the second annual Summer FanJam food truck and live rock music festival at LaGrande Park on Sunday, July 8, from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Run by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (GWACC) with contributions from local Fanwood sponsors, the Summer FanJam will feature live music from several bands, including Unforgettable Fire, the New York area’s premier U2 tribute band, who will headline the event.

FanJam goers are encouraged to bring a blanket and chairs to enjoy the day, kick back in the Sheelen’s Crossing beer and wine garden and peruse a fleet of classic cars. A KidsZone filled with obstacles courses, rides and fun activities will be open for children of all ages.

“Fanwood is delighted to have the GWACC sponsored FanJam back this year after a very successful first time event in 2017,” said Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr. “The Fanwood Summer FanJam is a perfect addition to our summer event offerings. We hope many will come from far and near to enjoy our great town and this fantastic event!”

Additionally, there will be 19 food trucks on site, including The Empanada Guy along with Jersey Johnny’s, Little Sicilian Rice Balls, Tony’s Italian Sausage, Cheech A Cini’s, Dani’s Kettle Corn, Chillin Out Ice Cream, Big John’s Gourmet Burgers, Toxi Roane Crab Cakes, Soda City, Chimney Cake Factory, Chocolate Moonshine, Cold Stone Creamery, Latin Food & Roasted Corn, Mister Softee, The Good Donut Shop, Vesco Foods Pickles & Olives, Waffl’d Up-Waffle on a stick and Carnival Concessions selling Zeppoles, Funnel Cakes and steak sandwiches will be there all day long to satisfy your food truck cuisine desires.

“This is exactly the event Fanwood has needed,” said local Fanwood resident and event organizer Aimee Nuzzo. “This is going to generate a lot of new interest in our town.”

Last year, this event drew thousands of people from across the region. With the large turnout that is expected for this year, Fanwood has plenty of free parking available at the Fanwood train station and elsewhere all within walking distance to LaGrande Park.

“This is exactly the event Fanwood has needed,” said local Fanwood resident and event organizer Aimee Nuzzo. “This is going to generate a lot of new interest in our town.”

The live music will follow the following schedule:

11:00 A.M. – The Allan Grant Band
12:40 P.M. – Zero Hour
1:00 P.M. – Bryan Hansen Band
2:45 P.M. – Groove Gangstas
4:00 P.M. – Riff Raff
5:15 P.M. – Unforgettable Fire
