Perrone is the suspect in an early morning stabbing on New Year’s Day. According to Kearns,  Raritan Township police were dispatched to a township home around 4 a.m. that day on a report of a stabbing victim. Perrone fled the scene before police arrived, according to the prosecutor.

The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and was admitted in critical condition. He has since been released, Kearns said.

Perrone was processed by Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office detectives and transferred  to the Somerset County Jail.

The search for Perrone had prompted Crime Stoppers of Hunterdon County to offer a reward for a tip leading to his apprehension.

The press release was issued jointly by Kearns, his Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski and Raritan Township Police Chief Glenn Tabasko.
