Mrs. Jennifer Jones, FHS Latin teacher and JCL advisor, and five of her JCLers (Sydney Rosen, Shiv Desai, Jordan Richards, Albert Paulino and Josh Fuller) attended nationals July 23rd through 29th in Troy.  They participated in various social events such as a Roman murder mystery, Latin scavenger hunt, karaoke, and various mythological games.  They participated in artistic, athletic, and academic contests.  They attended colloquia which are classes taught by Classics professors.   They had a wonderful time, made many friends, challenged themselves, and encouraged each other.  They won the following national awards:

  • 1st place in spirit
  • 4th place in activities binder
  • 7th place in website
  • 8th place in scrapbook
  • 13th place in publicity binder

Josh Fuller won the mythology contest on the bus full of 50 students and 6th place in his essay

Jordan Richards and Albert Paulino won a state prize for their spirit
