Statement from Franklin Township School District:
On Friday, October 13, 2017, Ms. Cheryl Clark submitted her resignation as Principal of Franklin High School, citing personal reasons. It is expected that the Board of Education will formally accept her resignation at their meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2017. It is also expected that the Board will appoint an Acting Principal at that same meeting. In the meanwhile, as is standard operating procedure, I have named Dr. Beth Ebler to serve as the Acting Principal. Dr. Ebler came to our district from Carteret School District where she had served as the Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum/Instruction and Personnel. Prior to that Dr. Ebler held both central office and building based administrative positions at the Wood Ridge School District. She has been serving as an Interim Vice Principal of Franklin High School since this past summer. I am confident that her knowledge, along with the experience of our Franklin High School administrators, will serve our staff and students well during this transition. We will begin actively seeking a permanent principal for Franklin High School as soon as possible.
