FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - On or about June 28, South Middlebush Road (CR 615) will be closed between Skillmans Lane and Jacques Lane while Somerset County conducts a necessary bridge replacement project, according to a Nixle alert.
The road closure is expected to last for at least three months. South Middlebush Road at the bridge over Six Mile Run will be impassable during this time, according to the alert.
Commuters are encouraged to find alternate routes and to avoid the area when possible. Traffic delays are expected in the area.
"The roadway is expected to re-open prior to the start of the new school year; however the construction schedule is weather dependent and subject to change," Somerset County Department of Public Works said in the alert.
More information about this project (including the detour route) can be found on the Somerset County website.
