ZAREPHATH, NJ - Pillar Missions and Pillar of Fire International hosted its 5th annual Z Mud Run today on Weston Canal Road.

The Z Mud Run is a family-friendly event which challenged runners to a 5K race through mud, water, and obstacles. Individuals, families, and friends climbed over hay pyramids, scaled walls, climbed a 20-foot mud hill, slide down a mud-water slide, and plowed through mud barriers.

The run started with the purpose of funding the building of a permanent residence for 22 orphaned kids in Haiti. Now it has grown to reach more children in need.

All net proceeds from the event go towards charitable causes from orphanages in Haiti or India to a medical clinic in rural Liberia.
