FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - All public schools in Franklin Township are closed. St. Matthias School. 

The Board of Education meeting scheduled for this evening has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, March 28, 2018.  It will be held in the cafeteria of Franklin High School, with the public session beginning at 7:30 pm.

Franklin High School parent-teacher conferences scheduled for this evening have been canceled since our schools are closed, but Parent-Teacher Conferences at FHS will take place tomorrow afternoon, Friday, March 23rd, as previously scheduled. Conferences will begin at 12:50 PMand finish at 2:28 PM.

An additional five to eight inches of snow are expected to fall by 2 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service. 

The Franklin Township Public School will have a 90 minute delayed opening. 

Franklin High School which was scheduled to have a half day will have a full day and parent-teacher conferences will be canceled.  There is no AM CARE Program.



If the storm worsens, parents and guardians will receive a call tomorrow morning by 6:30 am.

There will be a 90 minute delay for Saint Matthias School on Thursday. If conditions worsen overnight there may be an option to close. There will be a call for closure sent in the morning in the event it is necessary to close. If there is no call in the morning by 6:30 there will be a 90 minute delay. 

In the aftermath of Winter Storm Toby, the following senior centers operated by the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services will be closed on Thursday, March 22: Hillsborough, Montgomery, Quail Brook, Warrenbrook and the Senior Wellness Centers in Bernards and Bridgewater.

There will be no Meals on Wheels deliveries on Thursday.  

The Office on Aging and Disability Services, located in the Department of Human Services building at 27 Warren St. in Somerville, will be open to walk-in traffic on March 22. 

Central Jersey College Prep will have a 90-minute delayed opening on Thursday.

Government closures have not been reported at this time.
