FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce appointed Rodney Robinson as Interim President and Phil Mercado to the Board of Directors.
"The chamber president is a job that requires depth of vision and strong leadership," Robinson said. "To the extent that I can bring such characteristics to the position, I believe the chamber's future is bright!"
Robinson is replacing Michael W. Harris of Investors Bank, who resigned as president to accept a new opportunity.
"We'd like to thank Michael for his countless hours of selfless dedication, passion, and leadership," the Franklin Twp. Board of Directors said in a statement.
Robinson who is president of New Venture Benefits will fill the vacancy until the chamber's annual meeting, scheduled for May 18, at the Imperia.
"Both Rodney and Phil bring a wealth of experience and expertise in their field and will be tremendous assets to our chamber as we further our mission," the Franklin Twp. Board of Directors said in a statement.
The chamber would also like to invite local businesses to come out to meet its new appointees and other members at their upcoming networking event, April 13, at Venus Jewelers.
