FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce held its second monthly networking mixer of the year, at Venus Jewelry on Easton avenue in Somerset Thursday, April 13.
"Attending these chamber events is the best way to justify one’s membership and to actually meet in person all possible prospects that could contribute to someone’s success," Chamber of Commerce Board member, Peter Stavrianidis said.
During the meeting potential chamber members had the opportunity to network with existing members and to share ideas with the board.
Attendees were also served wine and appetizers and had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the group, and shared information about their business.
A raffle to win a $100 gift card was also held.
"We do want to try to make it a larger chamber, with larger events because you know it is all about [developing] partnerships, that is why everyone come out to these events," Chamber Board member, and Interim General Manager of the Imperia, Phil Mercado said.
The board will be reaching out to estranged former chamber members/board members and community leaders for informal conversations.
The hope is to open dialogue and to address any misunderstandings and/or mishaps from the past and hopefully allow a new path for the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce.
