FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The mayor and township council unanimously approved $500,000 from its Affordable Housing Trust Fund Tuesday night to help satisfy its affordable housing obligation with RPM Development for 151 units in the Churchill-Millstone section of town.

Councilwoman At-Large Shanel Robinson was absent during the introduction of the resolution and abstained from the 8-0 vote.

According to the resolution, RPM Development would build 83 affordable units and 68 market price units on the site.

Fifteen percent of the units will have three bedrooms and the others will be one and two bedroom units.

The resolution said the payment will partially represent the COAH credits the town needs to comply with its obligation under the Mount Laurel decision.
