Original article published Dec. 29:

If you have a Christmas Tree and need to get rid of it, you have options. There will be two drop off locations in town, and the township will also have three curbside pickup days.

Each family is limited to only one tree that must be free of all ornaments, wires, netting, and tinsel. Only natural trees will be accepted. Wreaths and garland will not be accepted as these items cannot be recycled. Deliveries from groups or dealers will be rejected. Following these guidelines is necessary to maintain a manageable recycling program.

The township will pick up trees Jan. 2, Jan. 8, and Jan. 16, and it if the number of trees exceeds anticipated demand the township may extend pickup dates.
