Franklin Township: Event Cancellations and Postponements this Week (UPDATED)

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The area is looking at back to back storms which can dump up to 12 inches of snow over the next two days. 

The first event to be postponed is the school safety meeting, according to an alert sent out from the township. The new date is  Thursday, March 29,  at 7:00 PM at Franklin Middle School. 

The Regional Center Partnership meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, at 5 p.m. has been canceled due to the impending snow storm check website for new date http://www.regionalcenterpartnership.org/meeting-dates.html.

The “A Matter of Balance” training sessions scheduled for March 21 and 22 have been canceled due to the impending snow storm.   The new dates are Monday, April 23, and Wednesday, April 25. The free two-day workshop will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Somerset County Senior Wellness Center at Bridgewater, located at 876 East Main Street, near TD Bank Ballpark.

The following senior centers operated by the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services will be closed on Wednesday, March 21: Hillsborough, Montgomery, Quail Brook, Warrenbrook and the Senior Wellness Centers in Bernards and Bridgewater.

Due to the anticipated winter storm, the Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center in Bridgewater will be closed to the public on Wednesday, March 21.

All public schools in Franklin Township are will be closed March 21, due to predicted inclement weather. 

St. Matthias will be closed March 21, due to predicted inclement weather. 

In light of the expected snow totals and road conditions all Municipal Offices will be closed for Wednesday, March 21st 2018. All non-essential personnel are instructed not to report to work for Wednesday March 21st. All Sessions of the Franklin Township Municipal Court will be Cancelled.

Please note that the Community Forestry Hazardous Tree Assessment and Ash Tree Inventory has been POSTPONED until Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00 am
