Franklin Township: Fire Commissioners Elections to be Held Saturday

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The annual election of Fire Commissioners for Franklin Township will be held Feb. 17.

Each of the four districts will have commissioner candidates on the ballot and a budget to be approved by voters.  

The last day to register to vote in the Fire Commissioners election is Thursday, Feb. 15.

Candidates can reach out to TAPinto Franklin Township to submit free candidate statements until Friday noon Feb. 16 for publications, click here for submission page.  

 

 

Candidates can also email answers to the three questions below before Saturday, Feb. 17, 10 a.m. for publication. 

  • Why are you running for Fire Commissioner?
  • Why should anyone vote for you?
  • What are your goals during your three-year term?

Letters to the Editor can also be submitted - Anyone can submit Letters to the Editor at any time up until the day before Election Day. Publication of Letters to the Editor is at the sole discretion of the editor of that town’s site.

They must be factually accurate and not defamatory.  They must not be anonymous.  The letter writer must submit their phone number with their letter.  The phone number will not be published – it will be used for verification purposes. 

Should the letter be deemed inaccurate or defamatory, the letter will not be published and the letter writer will be offered the opportunity to either provide documentation for their claims or to revise their letter accordingly.  Letters should be submitted directly on the site.
