FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The blanket of snow and ice that covered our town is almost all gone, and now is the time to remove all of the broken tree limbs and branches.
Township Manager, Bob Vornlocker reminds the community on how they can rid themselves of unwanted tree limbs and branches.
The public works department will collect discarded storm-related tree branches curbside starting March 19.
According to the township's website, there will only be one collection per street and the following guidelines need to be observed to ensure storm debris is collected:
- Any and all branches must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 am Monday, March 19
- Branches must be cut to a length no greater than 4 feet
Roadway debris, litter, and potholes can be reported directly to the to the township's website.
Tree waste will be recycled into mulch which will be used by the township.
