SOMERSET, NJ - Due to the recent cold snap that has gripped the nation, temperatures have been cold enough for a long enough time to freeze the Mettlers Pond at Colonial Park.

Snow has been removed from the pond, and currently, have an ice base of four to five inches. Park rangers are on duty and skating will be available for as long as ice conditions permit. 

Skating is forbidden when a ranger is not ranger is not on duty. For further information about ice skating, including hours, please call 908-722-1200, ext. 5351.

Duck Pond at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater is also available for ice skating. Hockey playing will not be permitted.
