The top-seeded, undefeated Warriors played a tight game for a 65-57 victory over second-seeded Saddle River Day School before more than 6,000 at the Rutgers Athletic Center March 17.

Taylor's Assistant Coaches, Alicia Kavanagh, and Dorcus Miller-Edwards, along with Team Managers, Leslie Salas and Serena Jackson made up the coaching staff responsible for the first girls basketball team to go undefeated while winning 34 games in a season.

"I want to publicly thank the town council and the community for embracing our coaching staff and our young ladies," FTPS Athletic Director, Ken Margolin said. "Our privilege has been to see them every day and see the hard work they put into it. I have to tell you it's been an amazing journey."

Earlier this month Taylor was named USA Today (High School Sports) All-USA High School Girls Basketball Coach of the Year.

Taylor spoke about how proud she was of her team and told the audience a lot of people don't get to see how many hours in the classroom, practice, and games the girls put into their championship season.

"All the applause and everything really goes to their effort," Taylor said... "I am glad the community is proud and I am glad we could bring something home to Franklin."
