FRANKLIN PARK, NJ - Pasha Mediterranean Restaurant & Banquet celebrated its grand opening Sunday afternoon.
Located at 3079 Route 27, behind IHOP, the restaurant offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
Pasha is a family owned business run by four partners, Irfan Chhipa, Imran Chhipa, Azim Uddin, and Mohammed Humayun Khan.
The partners felt there was a need for authentic Mediterranean food in Central New Jersey so they decided to open Pasha.
"Countless hours have been spent on every aspect, from the meticulous planning of architectural and design elements to multiple chef taste tests," Irfan said. "We invite you to savor Pasha’s delectable cuisine and aesthetic ambiance."
Pasha also has a banquet hall to host baby showers wedding receptions, birthday parties, corporate events, and anniversary parties. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11 am - 3 pm | 5 pm - 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am - 11 pm and Sunday from 11 am - 10 pm.
Elected officials, Mayor Phil Kramer, Councilman Charles Onyejiaka and Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker attended the event.
"This is going to be one of the premier restaurants in town," Kramer said. He said Pasha is another example of how diverse the culture in Franklin Township is.
