SOMERSET, NJ - The public is invited to attend a virtual round table discussion between members from the Franklin Township Police Department and community organizers via Facebook Live tonight at 7 pm

"Nationwide Police/Community relations are at a crossroad," the FTPD's Facebook page reads.  "Frederick Douglas stated, 'If there is no struggle, there is no progress.' In an effort to address the concerns of the community, The Franklin Township Police Department is hosting The Crossroads to Progress."

Pastor DeForest Soaries will moderate the panel consisting of the following people:

Quovella M. Spruill – Franklin Township Police Director
Tina Jalloh – Franklin Township Municipal Prosecutor
Crystal Pruitt – Franklin Township Councilwoman
Dr. Randal Pinkett - Chairman and CEO of BCT Partners
Sgt. Sean Hebbon – Franklin Township Police Department
Jasmine Bonner – Community Organizer
Jordan Brown – Community Organizer

Spruill was appointed to lead the FTPD in late April. Earlier this week members from the department reaffirmed their oaths.  

Bonner recently hosted two peaceful protests, one began at Franklin Middle School on May 31, and the other June 13 at Colonial Park. Bonner will also host a Juneteenth march Saturday at noon, at Naaman Williams Park. Browne also recently hosted a peaceful protest on June 5.
