SOMERSET, NJ - Police are investigating the shooting of an unnamed person that occurred in the area of Barker Road on Wednesday, July 17.
"On July 17, 2019, at approximately 5:29 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received reporting that an individual had suffered from a gunshot wound in the area of Barker Road," Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said in a news release.
Police found the unidentified victim with a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
FTPD and Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes/Crime Scene Investigations Unit detectives responded to the scene, to conduct an investigation.
Police are also investigating shots being fired on King Road. Earlier this month Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, Inc. increased the reward money to anyone with information leading to the arrest and indictment of the individual or individuals responsible for the homicide of David D. Anderson.
Police are also still investigating the shooting death of Dominic J. Frederick, 25, of Franklin Township, who was found unconscious behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a Foxwood Drive home in late May.
