FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Franklin Township Police Department and the Department of Public Works say they want to remind residents in anticipation of the upcoming snowstorm parking on snow emergency routes is prohibited.

The departments say they need residents to comply so crews can clear the roadways in a safe and efficient manner.

Municipal Ordinance 226-9 states, “Whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the street or highway, an emergency shall exist and no vehicle shall be parked on the streets or highways…”
