FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The New Jersey Primary Elections will be held on Tuesday, July 7, and Franklin residents will make first choices within their specific parties at a national, state, district, and local level.

This election cycle will witness the expansion of vote-by-mail, and voters who are registered in their parties have already received their ballots. If you have not received a ballot or have any questions, contact the County Clerk’s Office at 908-231-7013 or the County Board of Elections at 908-231-7084.

Voters and authorized bearers in Franklin can drop off their mail-in ballots at the dropbox during any time, up until 8 p.m. on Election Night, July 7, 2020, at the ballot drop box in front of the Franklin Municipal Building located at 475 DeMott Lane. According to election officials, the dropbox will always be under video surveillance.

Local residents can also vote by Provisional Ballot at any the following Polling Locations:

  • Griggstown Firehouse, 1037 Canal Road, South of Bunker Hill, Princeton (Ward 1: District 1-10)

  • Community/Senior Center, 505 Demott Lane, Somerset (Ward 2: Districts 11-22)

  • Board of Education Building, 2301 Route 27, Somerset (Ward 3: Districts 24, 26-34)

  • Parkside Community Center, 3 Parkside Street, Somerset (Ward 4: Districts 25, 35-43)

  • East Franklin Firehouse, 121 Pine Grove Avenue, Somerset (Ward 5: Districts 23, 44-51)

Polling locations will be required to follow COVID public health standards.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: In person voting will be via provisional ballot only, unless the voter is visually impaired or otherwise certifies to a disability which requires an accessible voting machine.

All other voters who visit a polling location will be required to vote on a provisional ballot.

If you do not receive your Mail In Ballot or Application, please call the County Clerk at 908-231-7013 to obtain a duplicate or you can vote on a provisional ballot at a polling location.
