SOMERSET, NJ - The 2018 Summer Reading Program is here.

There is something for everyone in the public library's 2018 summer reading program "Libraries Rock." All ages are welcome. Non-readers and little ones may be read to by others, and reading in any language is fine.

All reading counts - even reading the cereal box or magazines or comics.

Fast Facts About Reading:

  • Reading for pleasure during the summer keeps students' learning skills sharp. Avoid the "Summer Slide!"
  • Reading to little ones helps them build vocabulary and listening skills. It prepares them for learning to read when it's time.
  • Children who see their parents read are more likely to become readers. Parents can join the Adult Summer Reading Program!
