SOMERSET, NJ - Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School held its annual school lottery on Feb. 2.
According to officials the school received over 1,000 applications for the 2019-2020 year.
"We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone for their interest in our school and as always thank you to the PTO," a media alert reads.

We have included economically disadvantaged students` names twice in the lottery, which was approved by NJDOE," a media alert reads. "Parents, students, and staff members manually worked the lottery in front of hundreds of prospective parents. A Notary was present during the lottery."
Officials say the main office secretary will notify parents if their child has been accepted to Kindergarten.
Parents whose children are on the waiting list may also be notified.
