FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Week of the People Organizations in partnership with The Somerset Community Action Program (SCAP) and Hamilton Street Marketing Committee presents a Back-to-School Event on Saturday, August 25th at Naaman Williams Park, which is located at 1 Matilda Ave., Somerset, NJ, from 1pm to 7pm.

This year's event is focused on bringing about positive change by bringing families together before the start of a new school year. Back-to- School essentials will be provided to children in grades K-12, and many of our local community partners and supporters will be on hand to provide information and resources for parents. This family-friendly event marks the 47th celebration in Franklin Township and we invite the public to help us celebrate “Community in Unity,” which is the longstanding theme of the Week of the People Organization.

The Back-to-School Event will feature live music and entertainment from local artists who are to get the crowd moving and dancing. Performances include the special celebrity musical performances, Divas & Gents, Show Stoppers, Untouchable Drill Team, and much more. The event will also include food vendors, sport competitions, a water slide and other activities and games to keep children busy and happy. Please be sure to bring a lawn chair and/or a blanket so that you can fully enjoy a fun-filled day in a beautiful park setting.
