SOMERSET, NJ -  Two seniors who were key members of Franklin High School's football program were honored during National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Warrior standout players Clayborne (Clay) Fields III, and Tykey Reinberry, gave their written commitments to the colleges where they will continue their football careers.

"Using athletics to get them through the next four years of college will prepare them for the next 40 years of their lives," coach John Paczowski said. "Athletics can help teach them the work ethic, determination, self-sacrifice and commitment to succeed academically."

Fields said he is looking forward to the academics program and connections which will be available to him at Marist College.

"I am very excited can't wait to start a new chapter, it is a good moment for me, my friends and my family," Fields said.

Reinberry and Fields were surrounded by friends and family looking to show support to both student-athletes.

"I’m very honored for the opportunity that I have to play at the collegiate level knowing that this is not promised to every athlete," Reinberry said. "This is a great opportunity to forward my athletic and academic career."
