The Franklin Woman’s Club hosted its 25th annual Tricky Tray Basket Auction at Franklin High School, Somerset, on Friday, March 16, 2018.

The event, which sold out by Wednesday Feb. 21, welcomed over 300 attendees who purchased tickets to try to win any of 400+ baskets and prizes donated by numerous area businesses.  Prizes included a 40-inch Ultra high-definition television, Disney Passes, Keurig Coffee Maker, the Instant Pot Cooker, Vera Bradley merchandise, and numerous specialty baskets and gift certificates to area restaurants, tea rooms, shops and boutiques. The event also featured door prizes, a 50/50 and a Dessert Bar with refreshments also donated by local food establishments and Woman’s Club members.

The Franklin Woman’s Club would like to extend their appreciation to the many businesses that donated prizes, refreshments and/or purchased ads for the event program to support this important fundraising event. As a result, the Franklin Woman’s Club will be able to fund several scholarships for qualifying Franklin Township graduating high school females and will provide funds to support the operations of other selected not-for-profit organizations in the community.  (Note: To be considered for this year’s scholarship award, applicants must submit materials by March 27, 2018 as detailed at the club’s website – www.franklinwomansclub.com).
