FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Operation Secure Shred, sponsored by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders - the first of several free paper shredding events to be held through - began on Saturday, April 15.
July 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Franklin residents can bring their documents to the municipal building.
Operation Secure Shred began in 2007 and is offered throughout the county in various locations from April until next January. The intention of the program is to offer residents a safe and easy way to dispose of bulk personal information.

Additional information, including a brochure on how to handle your personal documents and a recommended schedule of items to be considered for shredding can be found on the link below as well.
Staples and paperclips do not have to be removed. Residents may bring documents in any type of container, which will be returned after papers have been dumped. Residents are permitted to stay and watch the shredding process.
All events run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
