The Franklin Township Public Library will host The Mike Elias Trio on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 pm. The Mike Elias Trio will improvise on the music of Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, The Beatles, standards of all eras, and world rhythms. Their music has been described as 'hip shaking and transcendental' by The Montclair Times.

Guitarist Mike Elias has appeared with artists such as Sikiru Adepoju, Rashied Ali, Sonny Fortune, Eddie Henderson and many others. He has opened for artists such as The Neville Brothers, Dr. John, B.B. King, and Billy Cobham.

Master bassist Gary Mazzaroppi has appeared with Lionel Hampton, Stan Getz, Buddy Rich, Les Paul, Willie Nelson, Alicia Keyes, Bela Fleck and many others.

Drummer Al Muller is currently playing with New York bands Joshua Tree and Shades of Grey. He studied percussion in Cuba and New Orleans
