HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - A performance of 17th century music on harpsichord and organ by Gavin Black will help Hillsborough Reformed Church at Millstone continue to celebrate its 250th anniversary.
Black, former HRC music director/organist, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26.
As an outreach of the Worship and Music Ministry of Hillsborough Reformed Church, the Concert Series is a community service program designed to provide inspiring music in diverse styles to the congregation and community.
All are welcome.
Suggested donation is $10 per person to support those who share their talents with the public and contribute to the performing arts.
The church is located at 1 Amwell Road, Hillsborough.
The following concerts will also be held to celebrate the 250th anniversary:
March 26, 4 p.m. -- “Music in Good Company: How Do You Keep the Music Playing?” Highlighting love in its many guises and stages, Eva Kastner-Puschl (vocal) and Phil Orr (pianist) present an unusual and entertaining selection of songs, including old favorites and odd gems.
April 23, 4 p.m. -- Clarinetist Kenneth Ellison leads a program, “Seven Continents,” presented by the Westminster Conservatory faculty members.
May 22, 4 p.m. -- Duo Grazioso (Hyosang Park, solo handbell, and Akiko Hosaki, piano) brings you the beautiful sound world of the handbell.
