HEAR FROM NJ CANNABIS INDUSTRY ACTIVISTS AND BUSINESS PIONEERS AT JULY’S WOMEN GROW – FLEMINGTON EVENT

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (DATE) – Women Grow – Flemington, the New Jersey branch of the national cannabis networking organization, will host “Home Grown: An Evening with NJ-based Cannabis Advocates and Professionals” on July 12th.

“There are so many advocates and professionals who are working tirelessly in New Jersey, even though our medical marijuana program is small and adult-use cannabis is not yet legal,” said Stacey Yalenti, CPA, CEO of Crabapple Cove Accounting Group and a speaker at the evening’s event. “It’s very thrilling to get all these brilliant minds under one roof for a singular event – it’s a don’t-miss evening for anyone curious about what’s going on regarding cannabis in New Jersey.”

Speakers include Charlana McKeithen, central New Jersey Marketing Director, Minorities for Medical Marijuana; Bonniwell Graham III, incoming NY/NJ region president, Minorities for Medical Marijuana; and Megan Glaser, Deputy State Director of Drug Policy Alliance – New Jersey chapter.

“We advocate for a just and equitable cannabis industry in New Jersey,” said Graham “A major component of that is to address policies that disproportionately target the state’s minority communities, while embracing regulations that will open opportunity up to communities most harmed by the War on Drugs.”

Attendees will also hear from Tara “Misu” Sargente of Blazin’ Bakery and Liz Bogle, environmental attorney with Cole Schotz, P.C.

“At no point did I ever decide to leave my home state, even when the climate toward cannabis was very hostile,” said “Misu” Sargente, who opened her herbal brownie mix line in Jersey City in 2010. “My heart is here, and I love this state. We deserve legalization, medicine, and freedom from arrest.”

The Women Grow – Flemington meeting will take place July 12th, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Lone Eagle Brewing, 44 Stangl Road, Flemington. Earlybird Tickets are $20 and regular tickets are $30. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information and to register, visit www.WomenGrow.com.
