SOMERVILLE, NJ - A 22-year old Manville man was charged with aggravated sexual assault (1st degree) and endangering the welfare of a child (3rd degree) after he was arrested at his home Thursday, June 21, according to a news release from Somerset County Prosecutor's office. 

Somerset County Prosecutor, Michael H. Robertson said Cornelio Felipe-Lopez, of North 4th Avenue, Manville was arrested after detectives spoke to a 12-year old girl who said she had been sexually assaulted by Felipe-Lopez. 

"On April 27, 2018, a 12-year old female told detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office (SCPO) Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit that she had been sexually assaulted on three occasions in 2017, by defendant Felipe-Lopez while residing in Raritan Borough," Robertson said in a news release.

The SCPO Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit and Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation located the defendant at his residence on North 4th Avenue in Manville on June 21 according to a news release. 

He was transported to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office in Somerville, and subsequently arrested without incident, police say.
