SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health Wednesday reported 18,374 positive tests for the COVID-19 virus, an increase of 44 cases overnight, with 685 COVID-19 deaths reported since March 8.

Franklin has a total of 4,603 COVID-19 cases, and 203 deaths since the pandemic hit New Jersey in March.

There are 685 COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County. One person aged 18-29, 15 people aged 30-49, 55 people aged 50-64, 161 people aged 65-79, and 262 people over the age of 80 have died, according to statistics proved by the SCDOH as of March 3.

The SCDOH confirmed the deaths of 203 Franklin Township residents; 89 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 101 in Bridgewater; 47 in Bernards Township; 50 in North Plainfield; 35 in Green Brook; 15 in Watchung; 22 in Raritan; 22 in Bound Brook; 18 in Warren; 18 in Manville; 15 in Somerville; 20 in Montgomery; 9 in Branchburg; 5 in Bedminster; 5 in Bernardsville; 4 in South Bound Brook; 4 in Peapack-Gladstone and 1 in Rocky Hill and 1 in Far Hills.

Here is the breakdown of confirmed cases by town: Bedminster, 314, Bernardsville Borough, 467; Bernards Township, 1,163; Bound Brook, 988; Branchburg, 647; Bridgewater, 2,036; Far Hills, 38; Franklin, 4,603; Green Brook, 401; Hillsborough/Millstone, 1,783; Manville, 788; Montgomery, 786; North Plainfield, 1,451; Peapack-Gladstone, 180; Raritan, 482; Rocky Hill, 21; Somerville, 831; South Bound Brook, 350; Warren, 718; Watchung, 327.

The New Jersey Department of Health on Wednesday reported a total of 710,046 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state 352 days ago, an increase of 2,947 overnight. The death toll in New Jersey is 21,052, an increase of 62 overnight.

There have been 10,806,397 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

Somerset County Deputy Director Commissioner, Sara Sooy provided the following vaccination update today:

The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is 115,551,373 including 2,565,061 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention on Wednesday morning, with 29,384,005 cases in the United States and 529,541 deaths.
