One of two missing Freehold girls was found in New Brunswick, and investigators believe the second girl is also in the city.
Freehold police say Rutgers police located Jocelyn Zaveckas, 15, about 8 p.m. Thursday night.
However, Zaveckas' friend, Kayla Destefano, 16, is still missing and believed to be in the city, said Freehold police Detective Sgt. Russell Gelber.
Police describe the two girls as runaways, and say they left a home on Jackson Mills Road in Jackson, Ocean County, on Wednesday. They were last seen about 8:50 p.m. walking south along that street in the area of Chandler Road.
Authorities describe Destefano as 5-foot, 2-inches talk, with brown hair and brown eyes, and has a scar on her left arm.
Police are asking anybody with information about the girl to call Freehold Township police at 732-462-7500 or 732-294-2110.
