NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A man received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries early this morning after being assaulted by an individual with a “sharp object,” according to a crime alert from the Rutgers University Police Department.

The incident occurred around 2:04 a.m. April 23 on an unidentified street connected to Easton Avenue, according to police.

After the attack, the victim went to a nearby hospital for treatment. That’s where he told authorities about the assault, which police said occurred “for unknown reasons,” according to the alert.
