SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health on Friday reported an additional 40 positive tests for the COVID-19 virus overnight, bringing the total number of cases to 6,019, with 520 COVID-10 deaths reported since March 8.

Franklin has a total of 1,785 COVID-19 cases an increase of 15, and 161 deaths since the pandemic hit New Jersey in March.

There are 520 COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County. One person aged 18-29, 15 people aged 30-49, 55 people aged 50-64, 161 people aged 65-79, and 262 people over the age of 80 have died, according to statistics proved by the SCDOH as of Oct. 30.

The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 161 Franklin Township residents; 81 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 75 in Bridgewater; 43 in Bernards Township; 37 in North Plainfield; 32 in Green Brook; 14 in Watchung; 14 in Raritan; 13 in Bound Brook; 16 in Warren; 6 in Manville; 6 in Somerville; 6 in Montgomery; 6 in Branchburg; 4 in Bedminster; 3 in Bernardsville; 3 in South Bound Brook and one in Peapack-Gladstone.

No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills, Millstone or Rocky Hill.

Here is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases by town: Bedminster, 75, Bernardsville Borough, 113; Bernards Township, 387; Branchburg, 138, Bridgewater, 613; Bound Brook, 373; Far Hills, 4; Franklin, 1,798; Green Brook, 176; Hillsborough/Millstone, 605; Manville, 193; Montgomery, 205; North Plainfield, 484; Peapack-Gladstone, 68; Raritan, 158  Rocky Hill, 5; Somerville, 183; South Bound Brook, 111; Warren, 215; Watchung, 115.

The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 161 Franklin Township residents; 81 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 75 in Bridgewater; 42 in Bernards Township; 37 in North Plainfield; 32 in Green Brook; 14 in Watchung; 15 in Raritan; 13 in Bound Brook; 16 in Warren; 6 in Manville; 6 in Somerville; 6 in Montgomery; 6 in Branchburg; 4 in Bedminster; 3 in Bernardsville; 3 in South Bound Brook and one in Peapack-Gladstone.

In New Jersey, the state Department of Health Friday reported a total of 236,523 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state 239 days ago, an increase of 1.976 overnight.  There was an increase of 7 deaths overnight, bringing the state total to 14.546. There have been 4,572,531 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is now 45,607,739 including 1,189,638 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention on Friday morning, with 9,234,138 cases in the United States and 234.472 deaths.
