SOMERVILLE, NJ -  Lloyd M. Thatcher, age 30, of Grant Avenue and Casey L. Dillow, age 23, of Palisades Drive, both located in Morganville, West Virginia were arrested with approximately 11 pounds of marijuana in Warren Township, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Warren Township Chief of Police William Keane said today in a joint release.

Prosecutor Robertson stated that on February 27, 2017, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Sgt. Robert Ferreiro of the Warren Township Police department conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2015 Nissan Altima, while on Hillcrest Road, after he observed the vehicle being operated in a careless manner by Lloyd M. Thatcher. As Sgt. Ferreiro was speaking with Thatcher and his passenger Casey Dillow he detected an odor of burnt and raw marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 10 plastic bags, from inside the trunk, containing raw marijuana, weighing a total weight of approximately 11 pounds.

Both Thatcher and Dillow were charged with 2nd degree, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in a quantity of 5 lbs. or more with the intent to distribute and were placed under arrest and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending detention hearings.
